Petra Christian University. Surabaya, May 17th, 2019

The Student Body of Petra Christian University held talk show, titled “Millennials for Indonesia” on Friday, May 17th, 2019. There were more than 100 active students attending.

The event started from 17.00 until 20.00 in the evening, preceded by remarks from the Head of Committee and group music performance. One of the Student Body’s 2018/2019 mission is to actively involve in nation’s diversity and prosperity. After the event, the millennials are expected to actively participate in nation building according to their own roles.

Short presentation was presented by Leimena Institute’s resource person. The first speaker, Yonatan Iskandar Chandra, S.H., spoke about Millennials roles in nation building through various sectors (apart from politic), then continued by second speaker, Olivia Theodore, S.M., who spoke about Christian faith correlation with citizens’ role in nation building. The talk show was heated up by questions from moderator and participants. In the end, attendees sang national song “Indonesia Pusaka” as commitment for the nation.
