This picture taken in Neumann College in Medan (North Sumatera) on 18 March 2013 shows the Leimena Institute’s Citizenship Education facilitators with the public lecture committee from the Batak Karo Protestant Church’s (GBKP) Synod and Youth Commission. The public lectures on the theme “ Citizens in the Wave of Change in Indonesia” was attended by around 80 students, including special delegates from other churches’s youth commissions and moslem youths in Medan.

This program was conducted by the Leimena Institute in partnership with the Batak Karo Protestant Church (GBKP) Synod. The participants—30 of them—included pastors, pastors-in-training, and members of the church’s commissions for youth (“PERMATA”), women (“MORIA”), and men (“MAMBRE”).

 

The 43rd Citizenship Education program’s participants discuss about “Responsible Citizenship” in a Civic Discussion group in the Batak Karo Protestant Church (GBKP) at km 4.5 Padang Bulan in Medan (North Sumatera) on 22-23 March 2013. This joint program between the Leimena Institute and the Batak Karo Protestant Church Synod was attended by around 60 people.

 

This picture shows the participants of the 44th Citizenship Education program which was conducted by the Leimena Institute, in partnership with the Indonesian Protestant Church in Donggala (GPID) Synod and the Titian Budi Luhur Foundation, in Sumbersari Parigi (Central Sulawesi) on 2-3 April 2013.
