Leimena Institute in partnership with Petra Christian University in Surabaya gave a public lecture on “Together We Prosper Indonesia” for all new students of the Petra Christian University from 23 study programs with about 2000 students. The public Lecture, aimed to open up these students concept of nation, was part of Welcome Graceful Generation (WGG-2014) program for welcoming new students.
This public lecture was divided in 4 sessions. The first (for 4 study programs: Design and Literature) and the second (for 8 Engineering study programs) lectures were held on Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, with Han Weilin (from 3T4C) and Budi Setiamarga as the speakers. The third (for 6 study programs: Accounting, International Business, Communication) and the fourth (for 5 Management Study Programs) lectures were held on Saturday, July 12th, 2014, facilitated by Matius Ho and Budi Setiamarga.
Through this public lecture, the new students of Petra Christian University as the future nation leaders, were encouraged to participate actively and constructively to build the nation and country of Indonesia. This encouragement was followed-up by the making of about 200 real action proposals made by these new students to show their love of the nation where some of the proposals would be funded.
