The program was held in cooperation with the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT) from three different districts: Kupang City, West Kupang, and Central Kupang. The program was attended by 77 pastors and elders from the three church districts. The following comments were made by the participants at the end of the program:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Kupang, NTT (13 Jun 2011)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leimena.org\/images\/20110613_PW_Kupang2.jpg\" alt=\"Kupang, NTT (13 Jun 2011)\" width=\"600\" height=\"354\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cRefresh the idea of citizenship that we almost lost due to our routine service at the church.\u201d (Rev. Hawa Y. Djami Ga-K, S.Th \u2015 \u201cElim Bolok\u201d congregation, West Kupang)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cMotivate us to equip our congregation in Kupang to become responsible citizens who fear the Lord.\u201d (Rev. Adelvina Doko Hege, S.Th \u2015 \u201cAlfa Omega Labat\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIt\u2019s useful because it provides a rational understanding to build and motivate yourself (even to affect others) on how to become citizens who can build the East Nusa Tenggara province. \u201c (Agus Yohelsin Bire \u2015 \u201cAgape Kupang\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cRefresh the understanding of our identity as citizens who are responsible for our national integrity and livelihood, without leaving our identity as membes of the Church.\u201d (Rev. Agusthea Nayoan-Naiola \u2015 \u201cSyalom Airnona\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cRe-awaken us to see what it means to be responsible citizens who are not occupied with the affairs of \u2018heaven\u2019 only. I will share this with the members of my congregation to participate actively in the community.\u201d (Rev. Evelien Lewaherilla \u2015 \u201cTualeu Klasis\u201d congregation, West Kupang)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Kupang, NTT (13 Jun 2011)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leimena.org\/images\/20110613_PW_Kupang3.jpg\" alt=\"Kupang, NTT (13 Jun 2011)\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIt helps to refresh our duties and responsibilities as citizens of the State of Indonesia and the Kingdom of God, starting from our immediate neighborhood. It\u2019s motivated me to do this in our bible study groups.\u201d (Rev. Anita Ch. Amnifu \u2015 \u201cKoinonia Koenino\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIt equips me as a citizen in filtering foreign ideologies which contradict our state ideology of Pancasila.\u201d (Imanuella Lay \u2015 \u201cSyalom Airnona\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cI will try to apply what I\u2019ve learned from this workshop by doing little things in my place of ministry.\u201d (Rev. Silfia J. C. Foeh-Rozet \u2015 \u201cBait-El Kampung Baru Penfui\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThis program builds our spirit to care about our national ideals, beginning with the smallest place and scope (our residence and place of ministry).\u201d (Rev. Deazsy A. Tatengkeng \u2015 \u201cImanuel Batukadera\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIt can broaden our horizons of living in a congregation, society, and state. This can be done both personally (through sermons, bible study, church visiation, etc) and communally in the church or certain functions of the congregation.\u201d (Rev. G. Ratuwalu \u2015 \u201cKupang City\u201d congregation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThis workshop is great for us \u2015pastors and church workers\u2015 especially in the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT), because the state and nation affairs are also part of Christ\u2019s teachings to His disciples.
