Institut Leimena held a round table discussion on \u201cStrategy For Citizens\u2019s Engagement in Legislative Process\u201d at the Institut Leimena\u2019s headquarter in Jakarta, on September 20, 2013. The main theme in the discussion was the urgent need, along with the challenges and opportunities, for citizens\u2019s involvement in the legislative process to produce high quality public policies that are consistent with the people\u2019s aspiration and the principles of Pancasila (\u201cFive Principles\u201d, Indonesia\u2019s ideology). Participants in the discussion include Leimena President Jakob Tobing, Parliamentary Legislative Body\u2019s Chairman Ignatius Mulyono, Parliamentary Financial Committee Vice Chairman Yasonna Laoly, Trisakti University\u2019s Constitutional and Laws Center\u2019s Chairman Pataniari Siahaan, former Constitutional Court Judge Maruarar Siahaan, Pentacostal Churches Fellowship\u2019s President Rev. Pudjo Abednego, and Leimena Chairman Viveka Nanda Leimena.<\/p>\n
