That is, they should share the responsibility of anything that happens in their country. It is a logical consequence of the status of Christians as citizens of the Kingdom of God and of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To arrive at the practical realization of the Christian&#8217;s responsibility as a citizen, Christians need to be educated to know, to want , and to be able. How could they know if not taught? How could they want to if not motivated and directed? And, how could they have the ability if they don\u2019t try simple but concrete action steps?<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;http:\/\/leimena.org\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/03\/006-2014-2-1.jpg&#8221; force_fullwidth=&#8221;on&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;slide&#8221; animation_duration=&#8221;500ms&#8221; animation_intensity_slide=&#8221;10%&#8221; animation_direction=&#8221;left&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.2.1&#8243; \/][et_pb_text background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Motivated by the desire to help church congregations to know, to want, and to be able to participate as citizens responsibly, the Leimena Institute, in partnership with the Toraja Church Synod, held the Training-of-Trainers (TOT) for the Citizenship Education on March 24-27, 2014. The program which took place at the Toraja Church\u2019s \u201cTangmentoe\u201d Study and Training Center in Rantepao, North Toraja, was opened by Toraja Church Synod\u2019s Vice Chair Rev. Daniel Rori. The training was attended by 42 pastor from churches Toraja, Luwu, Batam, Bekasi, Jakarta, Surabaya, and other cities and provinces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In the training, participants not only learned the Citizenship Education modules, such as Politics and Christianity, Your Voice is Precious, Constitutional Amendment Impact on Citizens\u2019 Role, but they also practiced teaching the modules to the students at the Christian Religion State College in Toraja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The participants acknowledged that they were very happy and satisfied to be able to share with the students. This is beyond their own expectation, that they were able to teach the Citizenship Education modules successfully. (Rev. Noriana W.S. Luden \u2013 Toraja Church, \u201cEranbatu\u201d congregation, West Sangalla\u2019 District, Tana Toraja)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>I learn the task and responsibility as a citizen. My knowledge on politics and the Constitutional amendment has increased.<\/em> (Rev. Elia Buntugajang \u2013 Toraja Church, \u201cJatiwaringin\u201d congregation, East Jakarta)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Through this program, I\u2019ve gained the skill to educate the congregation to learn their role and responsibility as Indonesian citizens.<\/em> (Rev. Elieser A. Batupadang \u2013Toraja Church, \u201cKanandede\u201d congregation, North Luwu)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Understanding of the responsibility as a citizen is increased. I\u2019m also motivated to be more critical and to watch the government.<\/em> (Rev. Alpius Juru \u2013Toraja Church, \u201cGolgota\u201d congregation, Tana Toraja)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the end of the TOT program, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Toraja Church Synod, represented by the Synod General Secretary rev.
